Recently while shopping in the cosmetics sections of the local drug store, I saw a large display featuring Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas advertising her own collection for Wet n Wild, which caught my attention. Fergie’s makeup was beautiful and Wet n Wild products are as usual not that expensive. So I picked up a lipstick and mascara to test.
The eyelash mascara is called Big Girls Don’t Cry (also one of her famous songs).
The packaging is beautiful, as you can see, with a shiny reflective surface and black text. It has 8 ml of mascara inside. The brush is curved a little, and the bristles are purple.
The description on the package said to contain botanical extracts to help nourish and protect the lashes. Also promises to lengthen and add volume to lashes.
The effect is natural but beautiful. The texture of the mascara is full-bodied and the brush helps a lot with the application, leaving the lashes well separated.
This mascara makes the eyelashes appear longer, giving them a well-defined look and a nice curved shape. I don’t think it adds anything in the way of volume. As you can see from the picture above, you can add multiple layers to deepen the effect, and the mascara does not clump.
I paid $ 5.00 for the Fergie mascara at Walmart, but I’ve seen it available also on drugstores. Who doesn’t love finding little things like this at the supermarket/drugsotore?
